White Ember respects your privacy. This policy explains how White Ember ("we," "us," or "our") handles personal information collected through whiteember.ca and through direct communications with us.

Information we collect

We collect only the information reasonably needed to operate our business.

Launch-list information: your email address, the date you joined, the signup source, and a record of your email consent. If you request gift-box notifications, we also save your optional fragrance preference.
Communications: information you include when you email, message, or otherwise contact us.
Technical information: our website and hosting providers may process basic device, browser, IP address, security, and server-log information needed to deliver and protect the site.

The current launch website does not accept payments or intentionally use advertising or behavioural-tracking cookies.

How we use your information

To manage the White Ember launch list.
To send the launch and product-availability news you requested.
To respond to questions and provide customer service.
To maintain, secure, and improve our website.
To meet legal, regulatory, accounting, or safety obligations.

We will not use your personal information for a new, unrelated purpose without obtaining additional consent when required.

Consent and email choices

When you join our launch list, you consent to receive White Ember launch and product-availability emails. You may withdraw that consent at any time by using the unsubscribe option in an email or by contacting us at hello@whiteember.ca.

Unsubscribing from marketing does not prevent us from sending messages required to answer a request, complete a transaction, or address a product or safety matter.

When information is shared

We do not sell or rent your personal information.

We may share limited information with:

Service providers that support website hosting, data storage, email, security, analytics, payments, or other business operations.
Professional advisers, regulators, law enforcement, or other parties when disclosure is required or permitted by law.
A successor organization if White Ember is reorganized, sold, or transferred, subject to appropriate privacy protections.

Providers receive only the information needed to perform their services and may process information outside Alberta or Canada, where different laws may apply.

Storage, protection, and retention

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.

We retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, to maintain consent and business records, and to meet legal obligations. Information that is no longer required is deleted, anonymized, or securely disposed of.

Your privacy rights

You may ask to access or correct personal information we hold about you, withdraw consent, or request deletion where applicable. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request, and legal exceptions may apply.

Third-party links and children

Our site may link to services such as Instagram or Facebook. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. White Ember does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the launch list. Please contact us if you believe a child has submitted information.

Updates to this policy

We may update this policy as our website and services develop. The effective date at the top of this page identifies the latest version. Material changes will be communicated when required.
